FAQs

What should I expect during a saddle fitting appointment?

An assessment of your horse including measurements will be performed to determine which saddle models to try. A level area such as cross ties or any level surface where your horse can stand quietly is required for the initial assessment. The horse should be ready to be ridden and worked down if necessary - rider should be prepared to ride in a few saddles. Have a general saddle pad available. Stirrup leathers, stirrup irons, girths, and half pads (as needed) are available during the trial. The appointment generally lasts between 1.5 and 2 hours.

What areas of California are covered and is there an appointment fee?

We cover Southern California from Ventura County to San Diego County on a full-time basis. For new saddles, used saddles, or fit check appointments (for saddles previously purchased directly from Tripp Equine Services or Equipe Fitters) the fee is $175 per horse. The fee is partially credited back to your account with a new saddle purchase (not used) on a per-horse basis.

We cover Northern California (north of Ventura County to the Bay Area and Sacramento area) on a part-time basis.
